Project Summary

Under the current OTMPD contract with Melbourne Water, Synertec is responsible for maintenance and project delivery across Melbourne Water’s entire network of assets. These assets deliver 450 billion litres of water annually to customers, and treats 350 billion litres of sewage. The operational technology spans across 47 reservoirs, 14 water treatment plants and 12 pumping stations. 

Synertec is contracted to deliver both maintenance and capital projects across all of Melbourne Water’s OT assets including: 

  • Brownfield and Greenfield Control Systems projects (PLC Renewals, OT Cabinet Replacements and Network Upgrades) 
  • Preventative, Corrective and Breakdown Maintenance Support including on call 24/7 support 
  • Control Optimisation Projects 
  • Operational SCADA support 

Scope of Works

Through our team of project managers and over 130 engineers, Synertec manage and self-perform an 18 month rolling Program of Works including regular governance meetings and progress updates, monthly project forecast cost updates, monitoring project risks and management of break-in works. Where specialist roles are required, Synertec engage and manage sub-contractors under our contractor management framework.
